As a
Dutch immigrant that came to this country
in 1956 I think this is such an important
holiday. I am grateful for this great
country. A place where freedom abounds. A
country built by the shed blood of
soldiers that bravely fought to keep these
freedoms for us all to enjoy. So kick back
a little and get out the old grill. Invite
some friends and loved ones over for hot
dogs and or hamburgers. Chill some tea or
lemonade. Sit back and watch the kids play
in the yard. Or better yet join them. This
is a great day to celebrate.
When
the sun goes down find a nice spot to
watch the fireworks and say a prayer of
thanks to our father above for the great
blessings He has bestowed on this great
country.
